On Friday the puppies will have their first “big dog” haircuts.

For now, call them scruffy!

Big adventures for the puppies today.  They went to the vet for their 8 week puppy shots and a health exam.

They were very brave!

The vaccinations were received with a little squeak by some of the pups and a loud protest by others.

They had a comprehensive exam and everything checks out well.

Green Boy, topping the weight chart at 4.6 lbs.

Puppies had a big week.  They had their first experience going outside.

They are spending more time playing with the older dogs.

They love to explore the house.

Pictures were taken in a hurry.  I didn’t have a lot of time, but didn’t want to miss the milestone of their 6 week birthday.

Red Girl. She did not want to sit still for a picture.

Black Boy. He did not want to be held this way so is giving me a little scowl.

I often see pups sleeping on their backs, but I rarely see them

with their front legs thrown over their head.

Maybe Blue Boy was tired from gathering all those toys!

Green Boy. Right before this photo, he had his foot in his mouth...they'll teethe on anything they can find.

Right now the puppies are having a big nap.  Why wouldn’t they?  At 5 a.m. they were up and ready for the day.  (I was not)

I managed to get a few pictures, in between their naps, wild play time, teething on the xpen, their toys and each other.

Sweet Red Girl. Don't let this expression fool you. She loves to explore and mix it up with her siblings.

Purple Girl. She's a live wire. She likes to take off down the hall to explore unknown territory.

Black Boy. I think this is so cute. He is lying on one toy and using another toy for his pillow.

Blue Boy. At this stage, he is the most likely to stay back and assess a new situation. But this trait can change from day to day.

SAMSUNGChloe is pictured with one of her owners, Jean.  Chloe lives in Wenatchee and it is hard to believe she will be 8 years old in December.  Chloe loves to play ball and destroy the squeakers in toys–she hasn’t changed since she was a puppy–she could destroy a toy faster than any Bichon I know.  You look good Jean and Chloe!!!  Get Al to warm up his arm and throw that ball!!!
