GCH Absolutely Wagnes It’s Time To pay The Piper aka Cash took a spin around the show ring as a Veteran at our local Specialty.  Dina sat ringside so she could watch her boy as Dale Hunter moved him gracefully for the judge. Both Cash and Dale still have the moves.

On day 2 Adora was on the lead as Cash showed the youngsters how it’s done.

The veteran class is special and always gets applause and a misty eye or two.  Well done Cash. Well done

We haven’t attended the dog shows in Elma for many, many years because they are typically scheduled for the same week that we are away at Nationals. But this year, as with everything else in life being different we were able to attend. And we are happy we did.

While Dina is convalescing from major knee surgery, we took Cash out to finish up his Grand Championship. He showed beautifully for Sue and managed to obtain enough Select Dog points to earn the title of Grand Champion.

Burrito took the Best of Breed ribbon for each of the 3 days that we showed which qualifies him for the title of Champion. He also got his first taste in the group ring and he did great in there! Fit right in.

Jan Rider was there with her lovely boy Elijah (littermate of Burrito) who took Reserve each day. Our great friend Adora showed Elijah the first two days but on the final day Jan decided to take the lead. It was Jan’s first real ring experience and she did a wonderful job. Taking a dog in the show ring for the first time is pretty intimidating. We hope she wants to continue in the ring because she has the makings of a very good owner/handler. Way to go Jan!

Well it was quite a weekend at Lynden.   Four days but worth the effort.  Simon won Best of Breed each day giving him 20 more points toward his GCH GOLD.  Oliver and Kevlar both obtained their American Championships.  Cash added to his Grand Champion points and was awarded a Group 2 Owner Handler.  Liberty finished her Grand Championship.  Violet and Sassy both snagged snagged 4 point majors and Emoji grabbed a Reserve Winners.   On Saturday every award that was given went to Absolutely dogs!   That’s a dream of a day.  Oh, and Oliver (in the ring as a Special for the first time on Sunday) won Select Dog and a Group 2 in the Owner Handler ring.

Special Cash

Cash made his debut as a Special this past weekend at the Olympic Kennel Club shows with owner Dina Taylor on the lead.  His goal was to capture the “Select” dog award each day giving him his first points toward his Grand Champion title.  Success!

Cash loves being a show dog.  Especially all the grooming.  Isn’t that right Cash?

Cash (Absolutely Wagnes It’s Time To Pay The Piper) scores big at the Bichon Frise Club of Puget Sound Specialty Show, going Best of Winners for a 4 point major.  With his fan club looking on, he became a new Champion.  Good timing, Cash!  And good work, Dina, and all who participated in Cash’s development.

Well, it was a pretty darn good day for our team.

Oliver won Best Puppy in Sweepstakes with Sassy going Best Opposite Puppy

In the regular specialty classes:

Oliver won his class, Reserve Winners and Best Puppy in Specialty

Sassy won her class going Winners for a 4 point major.

Simon was select dog adding to his Grand Champion points tally.

Also!….drumroll please………

Cash won Best of Winners for another 4 point major and

NEW CHAMPION!!

Dina and her support team (Dale Hunter & Cheryl Blair) had Cash looking great.  Dina was on the lead and Cash showed like he knew the win was his.  Thank you Dale & Cheryl for your unwavering support and knowledge.  We all learn new things whenever we are around you both.

Later in the weekend Tasheena added 2 more points to Kevlars win record with a Best of Winners.  That girl has hit her stride and will be a Champion in no time.

Kevlar also debuted in Obedience competition with a qualifying score giving her the first points of her title.   Beauty and brains!

Cash went to Mother Joseph Care Center today. He was a very popular little guy, and didn’t seem to mind the wheelchairs, noises, and equipment. He was also quite a trooper about all the people petting him. Here he is taking charge on his way to see the next person.
