This may be Pixie’s new song, “Something tells me I’m into something good.”

Pixie had her ring debut yesterday and today. She has the reputation of being fearless. She is just over 6 months old and none of the new sights and sounds fazed her a bit. Her owner, Doug, also had his ring debut today. He got to squire this lively girl around the ring.

Doug and Pixie make a great team. Look at those ribbons!

Donald x Violet’s puppies are SIX months old! What a fun and wonderful group of puppies they are….

Pixie, the pink girl, gets to spend her birthday at the beach! She had fun running in the ocean with her roommates Kevlar and Shae.
Bailey, the green boy, has been taking Zoom classes with his owners. He likes to hike, play in the snow and chew the legs of the kitchen chairs.
Blue, who was also marked with the color blue, leads an active life with his family. He has a friend, Teddie. I hear they get good and dirty on their playdates.
Dash, formerly gray boy, has a new car seat. I’m sure he enjoys being able to look out as he travels. He lives with his half brother, Chewie.
Bridget, formerly orange girl, is a delight. She loves to play with her toys. Squeaky toys are her favorite. She’s good at entertaining herself. She knows the command “Come” and (usually) complies.

It’s hard to believe it’s been 5 months since Violet had her litter of puppies. All the pups are doing well. Gray boy is now called Dash. He gets to play with his half brother Chewie. Green boy is the delight of his new owners. Blue enjoys walks with his family. Pixie gets to go to beginning agility classes and she gets to play with lots of other puppies. Bridget loves to hang out with the older dogs. She’s an easy, agreeable puppy.

Blue is giving everyone an enthusiastic hello.

Blue had his first professional groom. He looks so handsome and grown up! I was inspired to spiff up Bridget (orange girl) and Tasheena groomed Pixie (formerly known as Pink)

Blue, about 15 weeks old.
Pixie got a new “do.”
Bridget – 15.5 weeks old.

Final instructions before Blue leaves for his new home. “Be a good boy. Give lots of love and kisses. Leave the shoelaces alone. And don’t forget me!”
Good-bye, sweet boy. Your new owners will love you forever.
Blue is exploring his new home.
Whew! It’s been a big day. Blue finds a “den” for a little nap and re-charge.

Blue leaves this home for his forever home on Sunday. The reports from Grayson (Gray), Bailey (Green) and Pink (Pink) are very positive. The pups are adventurous and friendly. The litter box training has done wonders for their potty training.

It seemed only appropriate to get a picture of Blue with his Mommy, Violet. Blue enjoys being with his people and his dogs.
Here’s Bridget and Violet. At first we tried to pose them the same way Blue is posed, but Bridget decided she wanted to clean her mother’s ears. Violet thought that was a good idea and she lay on her side to give better access. I had to pick up Violet and separate the two. Dogs are always good for a laugh.

It’s never easy when it’s time to part with the puppies. The up-side is that you know they will be loved and cherished. They make such a difference in people’s lives AND I get to meet and make many new friends.

Green boy, Bailey, is ready for a big new adventure. He was sound asleep minutes after he settled in for the ride home.
Grayson gets to live with Sheri. Will this handsome boy be our next big STAR? Only time will tell.

The puppies will soon venture out into the world to their new homes. Orange girl, Bridget will remain with me. Today was bath day and nail day.(not the way they would choose to celebrate the New Year) Karen has been helping with nails. A few of the puppies are very reluctant (to put it mildly) to have their nails cut.

By the time pictures were taken, the pups had had all the “fun” they could take. The boys look a bit grumpy. Bridget had to have a re-take after a nap.

Green Boy (who may be called Bailey) will be going to a home and training for obedience and agility competitions. His new owners are very excited.
We have high hopes for Grayson (our gray boy) to shine in the show ring.
Blue is going to a wonderful family who have been waiting for him for several years.
Pink, full of personality. I’ll miss her.
Bridget, formerly Orange girl. She was in a better mood after her nap and we were able to get this sweet picture.

Anyone who has tried to take a picture of a puppy knows how difficult it is. Today we attempted a picture with all FIVE. The first picture will demonstrate some of our attempts. Picture #2 is not great, but at least you can see all the faces.

Look at the “camera” you guys!
From the right: Green, Gray and Blue boys/ Pink girl and Orange girl.

Rest and sleep time is getting shorter and shorter. Once in a while they will all snuggle together and have a nap. All five were asleep until I showed up to take a picture.

Next on the agenda was some play time. The pups tore around the kitchen island. They chase, they wrestle, they grab each other by the tail or the leg or the ear. If I open a cabinet, inside they go. Orange girl and pink girl enjoyed climbing in and out. Looking at the sweet face of Orange girl, you’d never guess she’d been up to mischief!
