Baron has his bags packed, and is ready to go back to his lovely home on Salt Spring Island, British Columbia.

He’s been at my house for several months, doing Daddy duty.  He is the sire of my little Junebug and also of Karen’s puppies.

Baron is 8 years old. He is one of the nicest Bichons I have ever bred. He has done us proud in the conformation ring, but even more so in his role as a stud dog, producing some very lovely puppies.

April (Sora’s sister) and her humans go south for the winter.
I’m sure they are all enjoying the warm weather.

Most Bichons love the snow.  Sora (formerly known as Adam) is enjoying his first snow.

After 13.5 weeks living here, Adam is ready to move on to a new home. He also has a new name, “Sora”.

“You mean today’s the day I get to meet my new owner?”
“Here’s a good-bye kiss. I’m ready to go!”
“Here’s my new human. (She seems to like me) And I’m told they have another dog for me to play with. Let the fun begin!”

After a bath, big dryer and trimming, Adam is pretty sure a crime has been committed.
13 week old Adam has a sad face. Enough of this grooming!!

There are always mixed feelings when a puppy leaves “the nest” for her new home. It’s difficult to say good-bye. On the other hand, you know you are sending her to a new family who will love and care for her. She’ll be leading the good life.

April has had her bath and her “bags are packed.” Extra hugs from me, wrestle time with her brother, kisses from her mother and she is ready to go.
This is April’s new family. They have waited a long time for this little girl.

Yesterday, April & Adam paid a call on their cousins Taco, Nacho and Burrito. The five of them had company. Lots of visitors came to play with them and they had a great time. We are lamenting that we forgot to take pictures! These pictures are taken today, their 9 week birthday.

April loves to play in our dog yard. Her favorite thing is to find things to chew on….especially things she is not supposed to have. She has learned to go down a couple of steps. She hasn’t mastered the dog door yet, but it won’t be long.
Adam can go in and out the dog door without any help. He’s an active little guy. Yes, that is April in the background, chewing on something forbidden.
