When do the puppies get more hair to stay warm? I see brown boy has a heat pad
The puppies can maintain their own body heat at about 3 weeks old. In the meantime, if they are chilly, they snuggle together or with Mom. There is also a warming disk in their bed. I trimmed their nails on a hot pad, as it seems to relax them and makes my job a little bit easier.
